Your download link expired - what to do

Links last 48 hours. Requesting the paper again is free, takes a minute, and is the whole fix.

Go back to the download page, pick the same paper and ask for it again. Use the same email address. You will get a new code and a new link, it costs nothing, and there is no limit on how often you may do it. That is the entire answer; the rest of this page is why.

Why links expire at all

A download link is a key to a file, and a key that works forever is a key that works for whoever ends up holding it. Links get forwarded, left in inboxes and pasted into chats. Forty-eight hours is long enough for a parent who opened the email on a phone at work and wants the file on a laptop that evening, and short enough that a link resurfacing months later opens nothing.

Nothing is lost when a link expires. The paper has not been withdrawn and your earlier request has not been cancelled - only that one link stopped working.

If a fresh link does not arrive

  • Check the spam or promotions folder. A first message from an address your provider has not seen before often lands there.
  • Check the address for a typo. A code sent to an address with a missing letter arrives somewhere, just not with you.
  • Give it a couple of minutes before asking again. Mail providers sometimes hold the first message briefly, and a second request does not make the first one arrive sooner.
  • Still nothing? Write to hello@trupreboards.com with the paper you wanted, and a person will send it.

Downloading it again is not a new sign-up

Asking for the same paper twice does not create a second anything. There is no account to duplicate - as our page on why downloads ask for an email explains, verifying a code records a request rather than registering a person.
